IB Maths AA & AI
IB Maths Tutoring for Analysis and Approaches and Applications
IB Maths AA and AI are different courses, not difficulty levels. Tutors are assigned by course and level, and the Internal Assessment is planned alongside the taught content rather than bolted on at the end.
Grades 11-12 (DP1-DP2)
How we teach IB Diploma Mathematics
AA and AI taught apart
AA is proof and algebra heavy; AI is modelling and data heavy. The tutor is matched to the course your child is enrolled in.
HL depth, not HL volume
HL differs in the depth of application, so sessions push unfamiliar-context questions rather than extra content lists.
IA coaching within IB rules
We coach research question, method and criteria alignment while the student writes their own exploration.
GDC fluency
Calculator technique for Paper 2 and 3 is practised until it saves time rather than costing it.
Topics we cover
- Number and algebra
- Functions and transformations
- Geometry and trigonometry
- Statistics and probability
- Calculus (SL and HL depth)
- AA HL: proof, complex numbers, vectors
- AI HL: matrices, graph theory, modelling
- Internal Assessment exploration
- Paper 3 problem solving (HL)
